Coride is a ridesharing app that was launched in Sweden in 2022. The service consists of a mobile app that helps ridesharing commuters find each other and manage the cost sharing between them.

The Coride app matches passengers and drivers and automatically handles the transfer of the predetermined cost between them. Users can plan trips weeks ahead and see how much CO2 and money they have saved.
The Coride app is available for iOS, Android and as on desktop.
Ride sharing is not a new thing. People have always combined rides to and from work for obvious reasons. At a talk at the Lisbon Web Summit a few years ago, Al Gore stated that the average number of people in a car in the US is 1.1. Maybe it was 1.2, I’m not sure. The number was astonishingly low.
So why don’t people share cars more? We are more connected than ever, we have better cars, better phones, better internet and hopefully more widespread concern about the environment. And still we are not riding together. This is what Coride is trying to change.
The vision of Coride is to become the first widely used app for people commuting together to and from work. Our first focus is to convince the Swedish commuters. If we make it here we can make it anywhere.
Of course, you don’t have to be a commuter to use the service, but commuters are our first priority.
Our goal is to save one million tonnes of CO2 in five years. We can do it. Together.
